How Much Does A Session Cost And How Does Payment Work?

Face-to-face sessions are £65-£70 and online sessions are £60-£65. Payments are payable before every session through direct bank transfer.

I also have a limited amount of concession priced spots available for students, and those on low income. If you are interested in a concession price for the sessions, please contact me for the specific price.

How Long Does The Session Last For?

Each session lasts 50 minutes.

The length of time you work with me can either be for a specific term, such as a period of 6-12 sessions; or open ended. We can regularly review and reflect on how the counselling work is being experienced by you.

What Other Issues Do You Work With?

I have extensive experience working with sexual and relational trauma specifically. And of course with that comes experience working with depression and anxiety; low self-esteem and confidence; and more. However, I work with anything that you bring to the session, as the sessions are for you to explore your experiences.

Whether that is anxiety; depression; relationship issues; low self-esteem; stress or overwhelm; trauma; identity, spirituality and religion; or anything else.

Can I Have My Camera Off? Can I Just Check In?

Yes, through my work in a sexual trauma organisation. I did my placement there to get my hours and then stayed on as a paid counsellor to work with the clients that have been impacted by sexual trauma. Relational trauma can often intertwine with sexual trauma thus having experience working with it.

I continue to do CPD to ensure my knowledge in the work is maintained and grows.

Yes, you can have your camera off. However, I would explore the need for this for you and a goal could be to work towards turning the camera on for the whole session.

A check-in is possible, however this would still be the same price as a full session due to the time being booked in specifically for you.

Yes, you can absolutely stop the sessions if you don't click with me.

It is important that you feel comfortable when opening up and working with someone. Not clicking with your counsellor can make it that much harder for you to feel comfortable and for the counselling to work.

You can book in a free 20 minute introductory call through the Contact page. No message is needed if not feeling comfortable to share yet.

Once a call is booked in, then I will reach out to you at the booked in day and time and we can talk about your wants and needs for counselling. It can also serve as a way for you to see if you'd want to continue to book in sessions with me.

Session one is whatever you need it to be in the moment, but I will also lean into using the Three-Stage Trauma Model to ensure the sessions feel safe and supported towards your needs.

You do not need to retell me the worst things that have happened to you immediately. You can share if wanted in a later session, but you also have the option not to if you didn't feel ready or comfortable to do so.

Lisa listened and respected my opinion. She understood my frustration, and could see between the lines of how I was actually feeling or doing. She was great at making me feel at ease and coming into a safe place. I also found it helpful that she understood my quirks but also how I'd put things in pictures and would often use a picture to match up what was going on in my thought process.

Lisa has been very kind and listens and made me feel at ease to open up.
